Position Summary:
As the Inventory Control Manager, you will be directly supervising team members responsible for compiling records and managing data concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping products for the facility. This is a critical role that works closely with Operations and Quality managers on inventory processes and improvements will require you to have strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, as well as strong problem solving abilities and basic math skills.

As our Inventory Manager, you will be comfortable planning, assigning, and directing the work of team members to safely and successfully perform daily responsibilities and meet established expectations.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Proven leadership skills including the ability to coach, assess, evaluate, develop, motivate, and empower others.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and drive improvements. 
  • Lead by example, 'get your hands dirty' management style and work ethic.

Essential Duties Include:

  • Preparation of daily reports including analysis of production and shipping reports.
  • Research of recorded inventory adjustments and inventory shrink issues for determination of cause.
  • Routine receipt and shipping audits.
  • Monthly coordination of physical inventories.
  • Develop, implement and manage proper inventory control procedures and processes to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Examine, recommend and implement systems, controls, procedures and policies that improve inventory efficiency and accountability.
  • Supervise the daily cycle counting function and conduct causative analysis.
  • Work collaboratively with a variety of departments.
  • Keeps back order file in established sequence and releases back orders for issue or shipment as stock becomes available.
  • Coordinates and researches product missing or placed in incorrect location.
  • Directs and coordinates physical inventory.
  • Audits and monitors cycle counts.
  • Reviews files to determine unused items and recommends disposal of excess or damaged stock.
  • Works with customer on inventory needs, recalls, and issues.

Additional requirements include

  • Associates Degree
  • Four years’ experience in the supply-chain arena
  • Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization 
  • Availability to work different shifts and occasional to frequent overtime 
  • Must be willing and able to frequently stand, walk, crawl, climb, push, pull, kneel, bend and reach 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with our without reasonable assistance 
  • Must be able to perform in all areas that hourly employees are performing with the manual dexterity required
  • Demonstrate excellent job performance in productivity, quality, safety, and attendance

Work Environment:

  • Fast paced office setting connected to a warehouse environment.
  • Must be capable of multi-tasking and communicating with a variety of people and personalities.
  • Must be comfortable and confident with computer and phone skills.            
  • The warehouse itself is a cold storage environment. Warehouse bays are kept at a constant 32 degrees (and below in certain areas). Noise level in the warehouse varies and at times and can be loud.
